The race started on Saturday night under threatening weather conditions.

Joey Logano started on the pole and he selected to start in the low-line. Logano led the opening 3 laps.

On lap 4, Denny Hamlin took the lead and he then led the next 35.

On lap 7, William Byron dipped below Logano and passed him for 2nd.

Notable: On lap 321, it was mentioned that Brad Keselowski was struggling with his power steering. It was working intermittently for him.

Notable: On lap 322, Kyle Busch spun and brought out the caution. Just prior to spinning he said over his radio, “I think something broke.”

Notable: On lap 340, Brad Keselowski was spun. He got no notable damage. He was around the mid-teens at the time.

Big: Ryan Newman was spun on lap 350. He was in 7th when he was spun which brought out the caution. Aric Almirola at this time was shown to have a ton of damage all over his car from a stack up when he ran into the back of Daniel Suarez.

On lap 362, Alex Bowman reported that he had a bad vibration in the corner. He was running in the top five at the time. The booth thought it was a loose wheel.

Big: On lap 364, Kurt Busch made an unexpected pit stop for a tire rub. This dropped him two laps down.

Big: On lap 368, Alex Bowman made an unexpected pit stop which dropped him two laps down. He had a loose right front wheel.

Notable: Erik Jones spun on lap 371 which brought out the caution. He didn’t appear to have too much damage.

Big: During the Erik Jones caution, Corey LaJoie got his nose ripped off on pit road. It also knocked out his radiator which marked the end of his race. LaJoie was actually running well and was just outside the top ten.

Big: On lap 385, a “Big One” ensued. Drivers collected were Kurt Busch, Keselowski, Buescher, Kyle Busch, Matt DiBenedetto, Preece, Alfredo, Jones, Bowman, McDowell, Justin Haley, Daniel Suarez and Cody Ware. It marked the end of the race for Keselowski, Bowman, Suarez, Haley and McDowell.
