New crew chief for Aric Almirola, Drew Blickensderfer takes over head wrench duties for the #10 team
Today it was announced that Drew Blickensderfer will be taking over as crew chief for Aric Almirola. He’ll be replacing Mike Bugarewicz who stays within the organization but in a different role.
Blickensderfer was previously Almirola’s crew chief at RPM in 2017 and for the last six races of 2016.
Fantasy Take: I view the crew chief change as a non-factor. It certainly can’t hurt after a rough 2021 season though.
Drew Blickensderfer replaces Mike Bugarewicz as crew chief for Aric Almirola as Bugarewicz moves into an SHR performance director role to oversee the correlation of simulation, engineering and at-track performance. The remainder of SHR crew chief lineup remains the same for 2022.
