Joey Logano started on the pole and led all 25 laps.

Ryan Preece drove the #15 which was in theory a Stewart-Haas Racing prepared Rick Ware Racing entry.

On lap 7, Ty Dillon who was in 7th brought out the first caution of the weekend. Dillon reported that he had a gear problem.

On lap 10, Austin Cindric was spun while running in 6th which brought out the caution.
