NASCAR Group #1 Driver Practice Notes

Ryan Preece – Ryan Preece was fast in his new RFK #60. Preece said it will be wild, and the track was slick. Preece said the #60 team has some work to do following his first run. During his 2nd run his team said, “Fastest car on the racetrack”, “This pace is really solid”, “Top 5 lap time.”

Ty Gibbs – Ty Gibbs was fast and as soon as practice started, Gibbs jumped up to #1 overall. Gibbs had the best 10,15,20 and 25-lap average over his opening run. During his 2nd run, the #54 looked to have dropped off.

Kyle Larson – The #5 was fast and logged good lap times. Larson was said to have good drive off the corner. Larson had the best 30-lap average in practice.

William Byron – Following his 2nd run, Byron said his corner speed is good, he’s just too free in entry and exit.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman looked good during his 2nd run and drove away from Ty Gibbs.

Bubba Wallace – The #23 had good speed and looked competitive over his opening run.
