Atlanta Ambetter Health 400 Fantasy NASCAR Top Tier Elite Picks

Ryan Blaney
Atlanta Fantasy Outlook – Ryan Blaney is one of the premiere superspeedway performers in NASCAR and at Atlanta, he’s poised to be the driver to beat. Blaney’s performed at a super-elite level and over the last five Atlanta races, Blaney has the best driver rating, the best average running position (6.8) and the best average finish (5.2). In the one race prior to the last five, Blaney literally crashed on the last lap while running in 4th, so he’s never lacked when it comes to performance. Currently over the last three Atlanta races, Blaney’s had the best Driver Rating every race. On Sunday, look for Blaney to be a top five contender who’ll be a factor to win.
Atlanta Track History – Ryan Blaney has arguably been the premiere performer on the new Atlanta surface. Blaney hasn’t visited victory lane, but he’s consistently been a factor. Over the last five races, Blaney’s swept the top ten and has a 5.2 average finish. Last summer, Blaney was a standout performer. In the race, Blaney won Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, earned the best driver rating, led the 3rd most laps (33) and had the 3rd best average running position (6.0) despite being involved in a multi-car wreck in the last Stage, but he battled back to finish 3rd. Last spring, Blaney nearly raced his way to victory lane but was inched at the finish line and finished 2nd. Additionally, Blaney finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2, had the best average running position (6.6), earned the best Driver Rating and led the 3rd most laps (31). In summer 2023, Blaney won Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage # 2, led 20 laps, had the best average running position (4.8), earned the best driver rating but then finished a misleading 9th. Blaney pitted during the Stage #2 caution (was in 2nd) which dropped him back to the high teens, with not much race left after that before the rain. In spring 2023, Blaney rallied to finish 7th, despite getting a “Speeding penalty of doom” on lap 135 while running in 3rd which dropped him two laps down. In 2022, Blaney finished 5th in the summer and then crashed on the last lap in the spring while running in 4th (finished 17th).
Joey Logano
Atlanta Fantasy Outlook – 2-time Atlanta winner, Joey Logano should be on your short list of favorites. Logano came up clutch last summer and over the combined races on the reconfiguration, he ranks among the best “Performance Wise.” Logano was also a standout performer last spring and was arguably the best in 2023 (best driver rating, best average running position over the combined races), so he certainly won’t lack when it comes to performance.
Atlanta Track History – Joey Logano has been one of the premiere performers at Atlanta. Logano won last summer, won in spring 2023 and over the combined races on the new surface, Logano has the 2nd best Driver Rating, the 3rd best average running position and a 13.7 average finish despite having a few misleading results. Last summer, Logano came up clutch and raced his way to victory lane. In the race, Logano led 9 laps, had an 8.8 average running position and earned the 4th best Driver Rating. Last spring, the #22 was stout but Logano finished an asterisk mark 28th. In the race, Logano led 27 laps, was running in 2nd on lap 155 but then shortly after that on lap 159 while running in 4th, he crashed after doing a bad block. In summer 2023, the #22 was racy but Logano finished 17th. In the race, Logano finished 4th in Stage #1, about 13th in Stage #2, had the 2nd best average running position (6.5), led 11 laps and earned the 5th best Driver Rating. Late in the race, Logano just wasn’t at his best, and he also pitted during the Stage #2 caution which had him mired back in the mid 20’s to begin the final Stage, which was short. In spring 2023, Logano started on the pole, won Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, had a 4.1 average running position, earned the best driver rating and led 140 laps en route to victory lane. In 2022, Logano was top ten good in the summer but crashed (26th) and then in the spring he finished 9th.
Kyle Busch
Atlanta Fantasy Outlook – At Atlanta, look for Kyle Busch to have a strong showing and be a factor. Busch is an elite superspeedway performer and he nearly raced his way to victory lane last spring. Over the last four Atlanta races, Busch has the 2nd best average finish (6.3), the 6th best Driver Rating and he’s one of just two drivers who have finished in the top ten every race (Blaney is the other). If Busch can avoid problems, look for him to have a successful Sunday.
Atlanta Track History – Kyle Busch ranks among the premiere performers at Atlanta, despite having a few asterisk mark results. Last summer, Busch finished 7th, earned the 9th best Driver Rating, led 24 laps and had an 11.7 average running position. I’ll note, Busch did fall back late after getting aggressive going for the “Win” and with 4-laps to go until the scheduled distance he was running in 2nd. Last spring, the#8 was fast, and Busch finished 3rd, getting inched right at the finish line by Daniel Suarez and Ryan Blaney. In the race, Busch finished 5th in Stage #1, led 28 laps and consistently ran up front when the trophy was on the line. In summer 2023, Busch played the pit strategy game and snuck in a 5th, despite having an 18.9 average running position and finishing around 23rd in Stage #2, before he did pit strategy to close out the final sprint. In spring 2023, Busch finished 10th, had an 11.2 average running position and led 7 laps. In 2022, Busch wrecked while running around 10th in the summer (finished 20th) and then in the spring he crashed while running around 4th (finished 33rd).
