Asterisk Mark Report – Atlanta #2 2024

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson looked great last summer at Atlanta but finished an asterisk mark 37th. Larson’s race was short, but he looked like a top five contender. In the race, Larson started 6th, raced as high as 2nd but then on lap 55 while running in 3rd, Larson had a sudden flat tire and slammed into the wall hard which marked the end of his race.
Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe also had a short race, but he looked respectable last summer and finished a misleading 38th. On lap 55, Larson had a flat tire and as he was coming down the track, Briscoe who was running in 14th nailed him which marked the end of his race.
Ross Chastain – Ross Chastain had a hot rod last summer at Atlanta but finished 13th, which is a misleading result. On the last lap while running in 4th, Chastain was punted into the wall and then mass chaos ensued to close out the race.
Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher was a top ten contender last summer but he finished a misleading 36th. On lap 201 he was running in 9th but then on lap 205 he crashed in a multi-car wreck, which marked the end of his race.
