Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Darlington #2 2024

William Byron – William Byron was a top five contender last summer at Darlington but he finished an asterisk mark 30th after crashing during a late “Big One.” In the race, Byron finished 8th in Stage #1, finished 4th in Stage #2, was in 6th with 40 laps to go but then not much later, Byron was involved in a crash. In terms of speed stats, Byron ranked 4th for Total Speed Rankings and Green Flag Speed.
Ryan Blaney – How good was Ryan Blaney last summer at Darlington? I would guess pretty good but it’s hard to say since he only completed two laps before crashing which doomed him to a 37th. At the time of his demise, Blaney was running in 7th. In practice the day before, Blaney was viewed to have one of the best long run cars.
Josh Berry – Last summer, Josh Berry looked to be a top five contender, but he finished an asterisk mark 31st. In the race, Berry started 15th, finished 9th in Stage #1, finished 7th in Stage #2, was up to 5th on lap 327 but then shortly after that following a restart, Berry did an aggressive move and a “Big One” ensued. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Berry ranked 4th.
