Asterisk Mark Report – Bristol #2 2024

Joey Logano – Joey Logano looked like a top ten contender last fall at Bristol but he finished an asterisk mark 28th. In the race, Logano started 20th, finished about 14th in Stage #1, was up to 12th on lap 243 but then that lap he spun and hit the wall which doomed the remainder of his evening.

Ty Gibbs – Last fall at Bristol, Ty Gibbs was a top ten contender, but he finished an asterisk mark 15th. In the race, Gibbs started 15th, finished 8th in Stage #1 but then during that Stage caution, Gibbs was caught speeding on pit road which dropped him back to the mid 20’s. Passing was difficult and Gibbs just wasn’t ever able to fully bounce back.

Corey LaJoie – Last fall in his #7 farewell race, Corey LaJoie was actually a top ten contender, but he crashed on lap 329 while running in 11th which led to his 36th place finish. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, LaJoie ranked 11th.
