Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Talladega #2 2024

Austin Cindric – Austin Cindric was arguably the best last fall at Talladega but he finished a misleading 32nd. In the race, Cindric finished 9th in Stage #1, won Stage #2, had a race best 6.1 average running position, earned the 2nd best Driver Rating, led the 2nd most laps (29), was leading on lap 183 but then on that very lap, he got a bad bump from Keselowski and crashed which led to his 32nd.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch finished 19th last fall and you can disregard that result. Busch didn’t crash but he did decide to race on the last lap which had him falling back like a rock since nobody helped him. In the race, Busch finished 3rd in Stage #2 and was running in 5th on the final lap when he got out of line, looking to make a move but never got help.
Ross Chastain – Ross Chastain had a short race last fall at Talladega and looked to be a top ten performer but he finished 40th. In the race, Chastain led 17 laps, finished 7th in Stage #1, finished 10th in Stage #2 but at the very end of Stage #2 coming to the line, he was caught up in a “Big One.”
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney looked to be a top five contender last fall at Talladega but he finished an asterisk mark 39th. In the race, Blaney finished 10th in Stage #1, consistently ran near the front in Stage #2 but then coming to the line to end Stage #2 while running in the top five, Blaney was wrecked which marked the end of his race.
