Kansas Group 1 NASCAR Practice Notes

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman unloaded fast and looked great in practice. In Group 1, Bowman had the best 10-lap average and the 2nd best 15-lap average. Bowman felt like his car was pretty good. He felt like he needed to turn a little bit better.

Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin had good speed and had the 3rd best 15-lap average in Group 1. Hamlin was one of two drivers who reached the 25-lap run range, and he said his car had no tire issues. Hamlin liked his car so there’s no doubt he’ll be good.

Austin Cindric – Austin Cindric had good speed and had the best 15-lap average in Group 1. His 10-lap average was the 4th best.

Bubba Wallace – Wallace had good speed. In Group 1, Wallace had the 3rd best 15-lap average and ranked 2nd for 20 and 25-lap averages. Wallace felt good about his car and said he has some fine tuning to be done.

Ty Gibbs – Ty Gibbs was fast. Gibbs had the fastest overall speed in Group 1. Gibbs had the 3rd best 10-lap average in Group 1 practice. About 9 minutes into practice, Gibbs had a flat tire.
