Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney looked to be a top ten performer in last year’s Coca Cola 600 but he finished an asterisk mark 39th. In the race, Blaney started 16th, finished 7th in Stage #1 but then in Stage #2, Blaney had an issue during a pit stop, went back out on the track, slammed into the wall hard and then his race was over, dooming him to his poor result. Shortly before his demise, Blaney was running around 11th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Blaney ranked 11th.

Daniel Suarez – Daniel Suarez was a low double-digit performer in last year’s Coca Cola 600 but he finished an asterisk mark 24th. In the race, Suarez had a 13.2 average running position, was running in 13th during a late caution around lap 230 but he then got an equipment interference penalty that led to his poor result.

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch was likely a top ten performer in last year’s Coca Cola 600 but he got two pit road penalties and you can’t overcome that which led to his 15th. Over the final segment, Busch ranked 11th for Speed.
