Nashville Cracker Barrel 400 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions / The Low Tier

Justin Haley
Nashville Fantasy Outlook – I have bottom half of the field expectations with Justin Haley. Haley’s been anything but consistent this year but he legitimately ran well last year at Nashville in the #51, so he has upside for the risk takers out there.
Nashville Track History – In the Next Gen at Nashville, Justin Haley has a 19.7 average finish and ranks 26th in terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings. Last summer in his old #51, I don’t know how he did it but Justin Haley finished 13th, and that’s legit. In the race, Haley ran well over the final segment after he got track position and from there he hung on to finish well. On lap 295 before overtime mega mayhem kicked into gear, Haley was running in 10th! In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Haley ranked 26th but over the final quarter of the race he ranked 10th in terms of speed. In the two races prior to that, Haley had back-to-back 23rd place finishes and those results are reflective of his performance.
Noah Gragson
Nashville Fantasy Outlook – At Nashville, I have mid-pack expectations with Noah Gragson. Gragson finished 10th last summer but don’t pick him off that finish, since it’s a misleading result and he was really about a 20th place performer. This year at intermediate tracks, Gragson’s shown some potential but he’s had results all across the board which makes him hard to trust.
Nashville Track History – At Nashville, Noah Gragson has an 18.0 average finish and ranks 23rd in terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings. Last summer, Gragson snuck in a 10th but take note on lap 295 before late overtime chaos begun, he was actually back in 21st. That said, Gragson did rank 15th for Total Speed Rankings and had a 16.8 average running position. In 2023 in the #42, Gragson finished 26th and had a 24.5 average running position.
Ty Dillon
Nashville Fantasy Outlook – Ty Dillon has been consistent at Nashville, just not in a good way and his average finish over his combined starts is 31.5. The math for that is really easy considering his finishes are a 31st (2022) and a 32nd (2023). Ultimately, it’s wise to just have mid-pack expectations for him with no real marginal upside.
Nashville Track History – Back in 2023 when he last raced at Nashville, Ty Dillon finished 32nd. In 2022 in his one other start, Dillon finished 31st.
