Christopher Bell and Zane Smith both started in the rear of the field for unapproved adjustments.
Corey Heim drove the #43. Erik Jones was out due to injury.

Kyle Busch who started on the pole selected to start in the outside lane. Busch led the opening 33 laps.

On lap 25, Joey Logano was back to 19th, having lost 6 positions from where he started. His car was extremely tight.

On lap 34, Ryan Blaney passed Kyle Busch for the lead. Blaney then led the next 45 laps.

Big: On lap 39, Todd Gilliland who was running around 27th spun and brought out the caution. He didn’t appear to hit anything but his tires were flat and he was stuck on the track for an extended period of time which dropped him a few laps down.
Notable: During the Gilliland caution, Corey Heim was spun on pit road. Heim spun off the nose of Tyler Reddick. The #45 was shown to have some damage to the nose.
Notable: Christopher Bell had a slow pit stop during the Gilliland caution. He had to backup. This dropped him from the 20’s back into the 30’s.
Notable: Michael McDowell who was in the top ten got a speeding penalty during the Gilliland caution.

Around lap 183, green flag pit stops started in Stage #2.
Big: During green flag pit stops around lap 190, Carson Hocevar got a pit penalty (Equipment interference) that dropped him two laps down. Hocevar was running around 20th prior to his penalty.
Big: During green flag pit stops around lap 190 it was mentioned that 2nd place William Byron had major problems during his pit stop that dropped him off the lead lap.
