Ross Chastain who started on the pole dominated early, leading 48 of the first 53 laps.

Big: On lap 1 in the bus stop, a multi-car wreck ensued. Drivers involved were Hamlin, Blaney, Stenhouse, Bell, Preece and Busch. Blaney was done for the day, Stenhouse’s race was done too. Hamlin had a good amount of damage.

Big: On lap 6 when the race was restarting following the lap 1 crash, AJ Allmendinger had transmission issues. His race was now over.

Notable: Brad Keselowski was caught speeding on pit road during his end of Stage pit stop which dropped him to the back to begin Stage #2. Prior to the pit cycle, Keselowski was running back in the mid 20’s.

Notable: On lap 25 during the restart for Stage #2, Tyler Reddick was shown to have spun in turn #1. It dropped him back into the 30’s (not reflected in the running order below). Following his spin, Reddick told his team that his car just didn’t feel right.

Notable: During his green flag pit stop to end the Stage, a tire got away from Brad Keselowski’s pit crew.

Big: On lap 38, Daniel Suarez spun out and was stuck in the gravel which brought out a caution during green flag pit stops.
