Richmond Group 1 NASCAR Practice Notes

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch showed good speed over the course of a run. Busch was viewed to be one of the best in Group 1. Busch was mentioned to be practicing running different grooves. In Group 1, Busch ranked #1 for 5,10,15,20,25 and 30-lap averages. Busch made a steering wheel change in practice to have a smaller steering wheel. Busch said he was falling off over a run. Busch also said his balance was good and he felt good off the truck.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson was fast and looked good in practice. In Group 1, Larson ranked 2nd for 5,10,15,20,25 and 30-lap averages.

Brad Keselowski – Keselowski said being free off was his only complaint early. Keselowski had good long run speed and was fast late into an extended run.

Austin Dillon – Dillon seemed pretty optimistic during an interview. In Group 1, Dillon ranked 4th for 20,25 and 30-lap averages.

Ty Dillon – Ty Dillon had solid surprise speed. In Group 1, Dillon ranked 3rd in terms of 15,20,25 and 30-lap averages.
