New Hampshire Mobil 1 301 Fantasy NASCAR Confidence Rankings / Post Practice Predictions

On Sunday, NASCAR will be racing at New Hampshire for the Mobile 1 301 to begin the Playoff Round of 12. New Hampshire is a flat 1.0-mile oval that I classify as a “Shorter flat track.” Other shorter flat tracks that I would recommend that you look back to for correlation are Gateway, Phoenix, Iowa and Richmond (2025 Shorter-Flat Track Total Speed Rankings). New Hampshire is a relatively quick race, and track position is king. It’s just 301 laps with Stages set for 75/185/301.
On Saturday, NASCAR held practice for the teams. Make sure you check out our New Hampshire Practice Notes, New Hampshire Group Practice Speed Rankings, New Hampshire 10,15,20,25 and 30 Lap Average Speed Cheat Sheet and New Hampshire Practice Speeds and 10 Lap Averages. Here’s the New Hampshire Qualifying Results/ Starting Lineup.
New Hampshire Full Field Fantasy Rankings
1) Ryan Blaney
Start 2nd / Projected Finish Range 1-6 / Dominator Potential – High
New Hampshire Outlook – Ryan Blaney is an elite performer at New Hampshire who’ll be tough to beat in the Mobile 1 301. In the Next Gen, Blaney’s 3 for 3 at getting asterisk mark results but he hasn’t lacked when it comes to performance and over the last two races, he’s been running in 2nd prior to having trouble late and had speed rankings of 2nd and 3rd. Last year, Blaney was one of the best but finished an asterisk mark 25th. In the race, Blaney started 2nd, finished 4th in Stage #1, finished 5th in Stage #2, had the 2nd best average running position (5.9) but then late in the race on lap 291 during a restart while running in 2nd, McDowell got into him and spun out the #12. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Blaney ranked 2nd. In 2023, Blaney was a factor but finished an asterisk mark 22nd. In the race, Blaney finished 5th in Stage #1, finished 4th in Stage #2 but then during a caution with about 30 laps to go while running in 2nd, Blaney got a pit penalty for running over his air hose, leading to his 22nd. In 2022, Blaney just kind of had an off-race and finished 18th. In 2021, Blaney was arguably the best. In the race, Blaney won Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2, had a 3.8 average running position, had the 3rd best Total Speed Ranking, earned the 2nd best driver rating, led the 2nd most laps (64) and then finished 5th. Up until the final green flag pit cycle, Blaney was the race leader. This year at shorter-flat tracks, Blaney’s been elite and over the combined races, Blaney has the best Track Type Total Speed Ranking and over the last three races his average finish is a series best 3.7. In practice, Blaney liked his car and was a stopwatch standout.

2) Denny Hamlin
Start 10th / Projected Finish Range 11-6 / Dominator Potential – Medium
New Hampshire Outlook – Denny Hamlin is a super-elite shorter-flat track performer and at New Hampshire; there’s no question the #11 will be fast and be a factor. At “The Magic Mile”, Hamlin’s a three-time winner who’s finished in the top five 35% of the time, in the top ten 61% of the time and his career average finish is 9.9, which ranks as the best in the series among drivers who’ve raced more than once. Over the last six races minus last year where he might’ve just been the best but faded back in the wet conditions, Hamlin has 2-runner-ups and a 5.4 average finish. In the Next Gen, Hamlin has the 4th best Total Speed Ranking and his average finish minus last year is 6.5. Last year, Hamlin might’ve just been the best but he finished a misleading 24th. In the race, Hamlin started 14th, finished 7th in Stage #1, won Stage #2, led 43 laps but then faded back over the final Stage in the wet conditions. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hamlin ranked 6th but take note his speed over the segments were 7th, 3rd, 1st and then 19th. In 2023, Hamlin ran well throughout. In the race, Hamlin started 20th, finished 7th in Stage #1, finished 5th in Stage #2, had a 6.4 average running position and then finished 7th overall. In terms of speed stats, Hamlin ranked 5th for Total Speed Rankings and 6th for Speed Late In A Run. In 2022, Hamlin finished 6th but take note he had quite a few slow pit stops in that race that hindered him throughout.

3) Joey Logano
Start 1st / Projected Finish Range 1-6 / Dominator Potential – Medium-High
New Hampshire Outlook – Polesitter, Joey Logano is an elite performer at New Hampshire who’ll be looking to get off to a fast start in the Round of 12. At “The Magic Mile”, Logano’s a 2-time winner and in 3 of the last 5 races, he’s finished in the top 4. With Logano having misleading results in 2 of the last 3 races here, he’ll likely be flying a little under the radar. In terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings, Logano’s consistently been fast and ranks 4th. Last year, Logano was a top five contender but finished an asterisk mark 32nd. In the race, Logano started 6th, finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2 but then during the restart for the final Stage after pit strategy dropped him back to 11th, he had contact with Elliott and crashed. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Logano ranked 9th but take note his speed over the segments were 2nd, 4th, 3rd and then 33rd. In 2023, Logano was one of the best. In the race, Logano finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best Driver Rating, had the 4th best Total Speed Ranking and had a 5.3 average running position. In 2022, Logano finished 24th but you can get out an asterisk mark for that race since he was top ten good, but late in the race on lap 297 while running in 7th, he ducked down pit road for a splash and go. In the four New Hampshire races prior to that, Logano had a 6.5 average finish. This year at shorter-flat tracks, Logano has the 2nd best average finish (7.8) and ranks 8th in terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings. At Gateway just a few weeks ago, Logano finished 5th. In practice, Logano was happy with the #22 and was fast.
