Group 1 Practice Notes

Josh Berry – Josh Berry was fast and had good speed over a run. In Group 1, Berry had the best 20, 25 and 30-lap averages. Burton felt like Berry had the best car in Group 1.

Michael McDowell – The #71 looked solid and in Group 1, McDowell’s 30-lap average was the 3rd best. Michael McDowell was mentioned to look good over an extended run.

Kyle Busch – Jeff Burton liked Busch’s speed. In Group 1, Busch ranked 3rd for 15,20 and 25-lap averages.

Daniel Suarez – The #99 had solid pace over a run. In group 1, Suarez ranked 2nd for 10-lap averages, 2nd for 20-lap averages and was tied for the best 30-lap average.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman looked solid and in Group 1, he had the 4th best 20-lap average.

AJ Allmendinger – Allmendinger had good take off speed, with the best 5 and 10-lap averages. For 20-lap averages he dropped down to 12th for the Group.
