Asterisk Mark Report – Bowman Gray 2025

Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe had a rough 2025 Clash and finished last (23rd). “Performance Wise”, Briscoe looked to be around 10th place good, but his evening wasn’t incident free. In the race, Briscoe started 6th, finished 12th at the halfway break but then early in the second half on lap 102 while running just short of the top ten, he spun which apparently damaged his steering because later on lap 127 his race was over due to “Steering.” In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Briscoe ranked 12th but take note his speed over the segments he competed were 7th, 8th and then 18th (segment he had his problems).

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar looked to be a top ten contender in last year’s Clash but he finished an asterisk mark 16th. In the race, Hocevar started 15th, finished 7th at the midway break but then on lap 109 while running in 6th, Bell spun him out. Later on lap 121, he spun again. When the checkered flag waved, Hocevar finished 16th, had a 14.1 average running position and earned the 15th best Driver Rating. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hocevar ranked 10th.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson didn’t have a smooth weekend at Bowman Gray in 2025 and finished 17th, but I’ll note his race wasn’t incident free. In the race, Larson won the Last Chance Qualifier (started 21st), was up to 14th at the halfway break but then trouble started. On lap 102, he was spun, later on lap 116 while running back in the high-teens he was spun again. When the checkered flag waved, Larson finished 17th and ranked 16th in terms of Total Speed Rankings.

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch finished 15th in last year’s Clash. I’m not sure if that’s really a misleading result but I’ll note his race wasn’t incident free.  In the race, Busch started 13th, brought out the first caution on lap 21 when he was spun from 16th, finished 23rd at the halfway break, had a 19.2 average running position and ranked 19th in terms of Total Speed Rankings.
