Bowman Gray Cook Out Clash Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions / The Low Tier

Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – Todd Gilliland shows up at short flat ovals. Gilliland finished 14th in the Clash last year and at Martinsville which I view to be the best comp track, Gilliland swept the top ten in 2025 with results of 9th and 10th. I can’t say I would be too bullish but he’s a low tier driver with elevated upside.
Bowman Gray Track History – In last year’s Clash, Todd Gilliland started 20th, finished 19th at the midway break, had a 17.5 average running position and then finished 14th overall. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Gilliland ranked 18th.

Austin Dillon
Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – I wouldn’t count out Austin Dillon from making the Clash. He nearly made it last year (3rd in the LCQ), he’s had results of 2nd and 3rd in the two LA Clash’s he’s made previously, he’s capable of being OK at Martinsville (17.0 average finish, 17.0 average speed ranking last year) and he also has the, “I’m not afraid to crash out other people” variable. If Austin Dillon does make the Clash, I would view him as a bottom half of the field driver.
Bowman Gray Track History – Austin Dillon didn’t make last year’s Clash. In the LCQ, Dillon finished 3rd.

Michael McDowell 
Bowman Gray Fantasy Outlook – Michael McDowell is capable of outperforming expectations and if he qualifies well for his Heat Race, I think he might just make the Clash. McDowell missed last year’s Clash but at the LA Coliseum he was 3 for 3 at making the “Main Event” even though his average finish was an ugly 19.7. Last year at Martinsville, McDowell had results of 12th (spring) and 24th (fall).
Bowman Gray Track History – Michael McDowell didn’t make last year’s Clash. In the LCQ, McDowell finished 5th.
