Kansas Advent Health 400 Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings

Carson Hocevar
Kansas Fantasy Outlook – Carson Hocevar is a strong performer at high-speed 1.5’s and since 2025 on this track type, Hocevar ranks 10th in terms of Track Type Total Speed Rankings but in the results column, he’s 0 for 7 at cracking the top 20 and has a 28.1 average finish. That said, Hocevar rarely lacks in terms of “Performance” and in 2025 at Kansas, he ran well in both races but had trouble in both, resulting in a 27.5 average finish.
Kansas Track History – Kansas hasn’t been a bright spot on the schedule for Carson Hocevar and in the Next Gen, he has a 26.2 average finish and ranks 17th in terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings. Last year, Hocevar ran well in both races but had a pair of asterisk mark finishes. Last fall, Hocevar started 6th, finished Stage #1 in 10th, finished Stage #2 in 13th but then late in the race on lap 259 while running around the mid-teens, he spun which doomed him to a 29th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hocevar ranked 11th. Last spring, Hocevar was a top ten contender but finished a misleading 26th. In the race, Hocevar started 22nd, finished around 18th in Stage #1, was caught speeding on pit road during the Stage #1 caution, finished about 15th in Stage #2, spent some time running in the top ten in the final Stage, was in 8th with 20 to go, was in 13th with 10 to go but then with 5-laps to go he got into the wall and then ducked down pit road a few laps later which led to his 26th. In fall 2024, Hocevar looked like a top ten contender for much of the race but finished an asterisk mark 32nd. In the race, Hocevar had a 14.3 average running position, finished 10th in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2 but his afternoon went downhill in the last Stage. The #77 seemed to have lost pace and then on lap 242 while he was back in the 20’s Hocevar spun out with a little bit of help. For the afternoon, Hocevar’s Total Speed Ranking ranked 17th with his speed over the segments being 10th, 16th, 15th and then 29th. In his two starts prior to that, Hocevar had results of 24th and 20th.
Alex Bowman
Kansas Fantasy Outlook – 2026 has been brutal for Alex Bowman but Kansas has historically been a bright spot, so there’s hope but it’s also best to once again be braced for a letdown. In the Next Gen at this mid-west 1.5, Bowman has the 4th best average finish (9.9), the 5th best Driver Rating and the 6th best Next Gen Speed Ranking. At high-speed 1.5’s since 2025, Bowman ranks 8th in terms of Track Type Total Speed Rankings. Heading into the weekend, I would view him as an ultra-risky top ten contender.
Kansas Track History – Alex Bowman has performed at a high-level at Kansas. Since 2018 #2 minus spring 2021 where he had alternator problems and last fall where he had power steering problems and also got into the wall, Bowman has a 7.1 average finish. In terms of the results column in the Next Gen, he’s 6 for 7 at finishing in the top ten. Last fall, Bowman was a top ten contender but finished a misleading 28th. In the race, Bowman started 17th, finished Stage #1 in 12th, was running in 12th on lap 150 but then shortly after that it was mentioned that he had a power steering problem. Bowman than hung tough around the low double digits but then on lap 226 while running in 14th, he had hard contact with the wall and his afternoon went south after that, leading to his 28th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Bowman ranked 15th but take note his speed over the segments were 12th, 12th, 11th and then 34th. Last spring, Bowman had a great performance. In the race, Bowman earned the 4th best Driver Rating, had the 5th best average running position (6.6) and then finished 5th overall. In terms of speed stats, Bowman ranked 5th for Total Speed Rankings and then 7th for Speed Late In A Run. In 2024, Bowman had solid showings of 6th and 7th.
Ryan Preece
Kansas Fantasy Outlook – Look for Ryan Preece to have a solid showing at Kansas. The #60 team has been clicking off good results, and he’s been strong at high-speed intermediates. Since 2025 at high-speed 1.5’s, Preece has a 13.4 average finish and his Track Type Total Speed Ranking ranks 11th. This spring a Las Vegas, Preece finished 11th. Last year at Kansas, Preece was solid in the spring but a dud in the fall. Heading into the weekend, I would look for Preece to challenge for a top ten.
Kansas Track History – In the Next Gen at Kansas, Preece is 5 for 6 at finishing 16th or worse, has a 20.3 average finish and ranks 27th in terms of Next Gen Speed Rankings. Last fall, Preece didn’t run well but his race also wasn’t incident free. In the race, Preece finished 26th, had a 27.7 average running position and ranked 32nd in terms of Total Speed Rankings. On lap 90 while running around the high-teens, he had contact with the #42 and spun into the grass. Last spring, Preece had a great performance, notching his best Kansas Next Gen result. In the race, Preece started 30th, finished 8th in Stage #1, finished 10th in Stage #2, earned the 6th best Driver Rating, had the 6th best average running position, ranked 7th in terms of Total Speed Rankings and then finished 7th when the checkered flag waved. In 2024 in his old ride, Preece finished 16th in the fall and then 28th in the spring.
