Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Texas 2025

Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick ranked among the best last year at Texas, but he finished an asterisk mark 21st. In the race, Reddick started 17th, drove up to finish 2nd in Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, had the 2nd best average running position (7.1), led 1 lap but then late in the race on lap 254 while running in 6th, Reddick spun out which led to his 21st. In terms of speed analytics, Reddick was the Fastest Driver Late In A Run and his Total Speed Ranking ranked 2nd.
Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher was a top five contender last year at Texas but he finished an asterisk mark 18th. In the race, Buescher finished 5th in Stage #1 but then in Stage #2 while running in 3rd, he had a flat tire and brought out the caution. That essentially put him behind for the rest of the race and he simply wasn’t as competitive. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Buescher ranked 10th.
Ty Gibbs – Ty Gibbs was a top ten contender last year at Texas but he finished an asterisk mark 23rd. In the race, Gibbs finished 8th in Stage #1, finished about 13th in Stage #2, was in 3rd on lap 198 but then he pitted only to get burned by a caution during the pit cycle which dropped him back into the 20’s, and he simply didn’t rebound. In the race, Gibbs had a 10.6 average running position despite his problem, ranked 3rd for Speed Late In A Run and had the 6th best Total Speed Ranking.
Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar was a top ten performer last year at Texas but he finished a misleading 24th. In the race, Hocevar won the pole, led 22 laps, finished 6th in the two opening Stages, was running in 6th on lap 217 but then just after that he pitted and was burned by a caution during the pit cycle. That dropped him to mid-pack and then not much longer than that on lap 236, he was caught up in a multi-car wreck. Despite his problems, Hocevar had the 3rd best average running position (9.2) and ranked 5th for Total Speed Rankings.
