Texas Group 1 Driver Practice Notes

Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon started practice, ran a few laps and then went to the garage to change his engine.

Bubba Wallace – Late in practice, Bubba Wallace spun and got into the wall. In Group 1, Wallace ranked 9th for 15-lap averages. He’ll be starting in the rear of the field on Sunday.

Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe had good long run speed and ranked 1st for 20,25 and 30-lap averages.

William Byron – William Byron unloaded fast and had a lot of speed. In Group 1, Byron had the best overall speed and ranked #1 for 5,10 and 15-lap averages. William Byron said his car felt good.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson had good speed and in Group, 1 he had the 2nd best 10-lap average. Then he came to pit road for adjustments. Larson said he was a little too tight. Overall, Larson said he’s close.
