Watkins Glen Go Bowling At The Glen NASCAR Practice Notes

*** This was a combined group practice session. Early in practice, many teams started on the wet tires to feel out their cars since they only had 1-set of slick tires.
Shane van Gisbergen – SVG was fast and had a lot of speed. In practice, SVG had the best 5,10 and 15-lap averages.
Tyler Reddick – The #45 had really good pace over a long run in practice. In practice, Reddick had the 3rd best 5-lap average and the 2nd best 10-lap average.
Ryan Blaney – Blaney said he had a decent practice, and he felt like his car was pretty good. In practice, Blaney had the 7th best 5-lap average and the 4th best 10-lap average. Ryan Blaney missed the bus stop turn late in practice.
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott was notably slow in terms of average speeds. Elliott said his car was a handful and he has a lot of room for improvement. Elliott’s 5-lap average ranked 31st.
Christopher Bell – Bell was mentioned to have the 2nd fastest speed up thru the esses at the midpoint of practice. In practice, Bell had the 2nd best 5-lap average.
