Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Dover 2025

Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell was a contender to win last year at Dover and might’ve just been the best but he finished an asterisk mark 18th. Bell’s race was anything but incident free and twice he spun while running in the top 2. In the race, Bell started 3rd, finished 2nd in Stage #1, won Stage #2, led 67 laps but then during the restart for the final Stage while battling for the lead, he spun out which dropped him back to 22nd. Bell battled back and ran long during a green flag pit cycle and caught a lucky break caution when it started to sprinkle on lap 337, which got him back to the front and up to 2nd. Then late in the race on lap 392 while battling for 2nd, Bell spun and crashed. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Bell ranked 3rd.
William Byron – William Byron was about 6th place good last year at Dover but he finished a misleading 31st. In the race, Byron finished 4th in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2, had a 6.1 average running position, was running in 6th on lap 390 but then a few laps later, he crashed in a multi-car wreck. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Byron ranked 6th.
Ross Chastain – Ross Chastain was a low double-digit performer last summer at Dover but he finished a misleading 33rd. In the race, Chastain was running in 12th at the midpoint, was in 13th on lap 382 but then he had a flat tire and crashed, dooming him to a 33rd. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Chastain ranked 14th.
