Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Charlotte 2025

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar was a top five contender in last year’s Coca Cola 600 but he finished an asterisk mark 34th. In the race, Hocevar started 39th, finished Stage #1 in the low 20’s, finished Stage #2 in 4th, finished Stage #3 in 3rd but then on lap 308 during the final Stage restart while running in 2nd, his engine blew up. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hocevar ranked 5th.

Denny Hamlin – Last year in the Coca Cola 600, Denny Hamlin was 2nd place good but finished an asterisk mark 16th. In the race, Hamlin finished 2nd in Stage #2 and #3 and was running in 2nd on lap 371 before coming in for gas, after having fueling issues during his green flag pit stop in the Stage. In the race, Hamlin ranked 2nd for Total Speed Rankings, led 53 laps and earned the 3rd best Driver Rating.

Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick was top five good last year at Charlotte but he finished an asterisk mark 26th. In the race, Reddick finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2, finished 4th in Stage #3 but then in the last Stage during green flag pit stops while running in 5th, Reddick was caught speeding on pit road. Later, he slammed into the wall but that wasn’t really much of a setback after his speeding penalty.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman looked like a top ten contender last year at Charlotte but he finished a misleading 29th. Late in Stage #1 on lap 98 while running in 9th, Bowman got into the wall and broke his toe link, and his afternoon was toast after that. In terms of speed over the first segment of the race, Bowman ranked 9th.
