NOTE: With the track conditions in practice, I would be careful with takeaways pertaining to the race.

Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin seemed to have a pretty good car. His 15-lap average ranked as the 4th best.

Christopher Bell – The #20 had good speed with Bell ranking 2nd for both 20 and 25-lap averages.

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar went out on the track right away and laid down quick laps. Hocevar’s pace was said to be falling off fast though. Hocevar had a tire going down to explain it. Hocevar had the 2nd fastest 5-lap average, but he never did a 10-lap run.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Stenhouse said the first three laps were fine and then he had no grip. Stenhouse went out early and had the 3rd best 5-lap average. He didn’t make an extended run longer than that.

Michael McDowell – Michael McDowell got out on the track early when it was at its fastest and had the best 5 and 10-lap averages.
