Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Michigan 2025

This chart is from BetCrushers.com

William Byron – William Byron was the class of the field last summer at Michigan, but he finished an asterisk mark 28th after being short on fuel at the end.  In the race, Byron finished 2nd in Stage #1, won Stage #2, led nearly half the race (98 laps), had a 2.6 average running position, had the best Total Speed Ranking, was the leader as late as 3 to go but then on the last lap, he ducked down pit road for fuel which led to his misleading finish.

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar had a rocket last summer at Michigan and was a contender to win but he finished an asterisk mark 29th. In the race, Hocevar finished 10th in Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2, led 32 laps, had the 3rd best Total Speed Ranking but while leading on lap 181, he had a flat tire and made an unexpected pit stop.

Ryan Blaney – Last year at Michigan, Ryan Blaney was a top ten contender but finished a misleading 32nd. In the race, Blaney started 13th, led 7 laps, finished 6th in Stage #1, was running in 12th on lap 109 but then he got into the wall and spun, which doomed him to his poor result. Over the first two segments of the race which were incident free for him, Blaney ranked 6th and 8th for Speed.

Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe finished 23rd last year at Michigan but that’s an asterisk mark result. In the race, Briscoe started on the pole, led 11 laps, finished 4th in Stage #1 but then in Stage #2 on lap 67 when pit strategy shuffled him back into the high 20’s, he clipped a spinning Suarez which damaged the #19 and his competitive afternoon was basically over from that point, leading to his 23rd. Over the first quarter of the race which was incident free for him, he ranked 5th for Speed.
