Chicagoland eero 400 NASCAR Practice Notes

Tyler Reddick – During his 2nd run, Tyler Reddick posted the best 10, 15 and 20-lap averages. Reddick was mentioned to look really good late in practice. During his run to close out, Reddick set the new fastest 10,15 and 20-lap averages. Reddick said his car was really good.
Kyle Larson – The #5 was fast and had great speed throughout a run. Larson started with a 15-lap run and set the fastest 5,10,15 lap averages early. During his last run, Larson set the 2nd fastest 5-lap average. When practice ended, Larson ranked 2nd for 5-lap averages, 11th for 10-lap averages and 10th for 15-lap averages.
Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin had good speed late in a run. About 15 minutes into practice, Hamlin had the fastest overall lap 13,14,15 and 17. 20-minutes into practice, Hamlin moved up to #1 for 15-lap averages. When practice ended, Hamlin ranked 7th for 5,10 and 15-lap averages and ranked 5th for 20-lap averages.
William Byron – About 10-minutes into practice while he was 10th overall, Byron said “I think the fresh track wore the right front more, but it’s coming to me.” William Byron was mentioned to be happy with his car. During his 2nd run about 30-minutes into practice, Byron was #1 for 10 and 15-lap averages. The #24 was said to have general tightness. Byron closed out practice with a +20-lap run. When practice ended, Byron ranked 4th for 10-lap averages, 3rd for 15-lap averages and 4th for 20-lap averages.
Corey Heim – Corey Heim looked good in practice. When practice ended, Heim ranked 3rd for 10-lap averages, 2nd for 15-lap averages, 3rd for 20-lap averages and then 2nd for 25-lap averages.
