Shane van Gisbergen
EchoPark Fantasy Outlook – Shane van Gisbergen had a great performance this spring at EchoPark and finished 6th, and he looked great last summer too so if you’re looking to roll the dice, don’t overlook him. That said over his other three EchoPark races he’s finished 23rd or worse, so he’s certainly no sure thing.
EchoPark Track History – At EchoPark in the Next Gen, SVG has a 21.3 average finish and ranks 24th for Driver Rating. This spring, the #97 was racy and SVG was fast, despite his race not being incident free. In the race, SVG started 28th, finished back in the 30’s in Stage #1 but then coming to the finish line in Stage #2 while battling for 3rd, he collided with Larson and spun. Later on lap 199 while running in 12th, he got loose and spun again. On lap 260 at the end of regulation, he rebounded back up to 10th and then in overtime, he drove up to finish 6th. Last summer, SVG ran well but finished 3 laps down in 24th. In the race, SVG finished 8th in Stage #1, finished 7th in Stage #2, was running in 8th on lap 175 but then he spun out which brought out a caution and from that point on, his competitive afternoon was over. In spring 2025, SVG finished 23rd, had a 19.2 average running position and earned the 24th best Driver Rating. In 2024 #2 in a pre-rookie start, SVG finished 32nd.

Todd Gilliland
EchoPark Fantasy Outlook – At EchoPark in the Next Gen over the nine races, Todd Gilliland has four results between 15th to 17th but over the other five he’s finished between 25th to 27th, so he has two very established baselines for a good day and a bad day. That said, he’s been more “Bad Days” then good days recently and in 4 of the last 5 he’s finished between 25th to 27th. When it comes to superspeedway racing, Gilliland has proven himself proficient at the craft, so he does have some dark horse upside.
EchoPark Track History – In the Next Gen at EchoPark, Gilliland has a 21.7 average finish. This spring, Gilliland finished 25th after being involved in two accidents. At the time of his first on lap 103 he was running around the mid 20’s and then on lap 255 before his second he was running around 26th. Additionally for the afternoon, his average running position was 28.5. Last summer, Gilliland also had another dud performance and finished 27th. In the race, Gilliland finished 21st in Stage #1, was in 8th on lap 110 but then that lap, Herbst got into the wall in front of him and then Gilliland got into it also at that time and from that point on, his competitive afternoon was over, leading to his poor result. In spring 2025, Gilliland tied his best EchoPark result and came home 15th. That said, Gilliland’s race wasn’t even incident free. On lap 130 he was running in 4th but then on lap 134, he had a flat tire and brought out a caution. Then later in the race, Gilliland was in 26th on lap 181 and was then collected in a multi-car wreck. In summer 2024, Gilliland showed potential but finished 27th. In the race, Gilliland had a 13.3 average running position, was in 9th with 20 to go, was in 19th at the start of overtime but then he was collected in the overtime “Big One.” In spring 2024, Gilliland was one of the best but finished an asterisk mark 26th. In the race, Gilliland finished 10th in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2, led a race high 58 laps, had an 8.5 average running position, was in 9th on lap 239 but then on lap 246 just after the race went back to green following a caution, Gilliland made an unexpected pit stop which dropped him off the lead lap, leading to his 26th. Over the three races prior to that, Gilliland had results of 16th, 15th and 17th.

Austin Dillon
EchoPark Fantasy Outlook – I would have mid-pack expectations with Austin Dillon. At EchoPark, he’s finished between 16th to 22nd in 6 of the last 7 races and if he avoids trouble, I would expect more of the same. Overall in the Next Gen, Dillon has a 24.2 average finish and ranks 31st for Driver Rating.
EchoPark Track History – At EchoPark, Dillon is 0 for 9 at finishing in the top 15 and his overall average finish since 2023 is 21.1. This spring, Dillon had his worst result here in years and finished 29th. In the race, Dillon was involved in two crashes. In the race, Dillon started 33rd, finished about 21st in Stage #1, was in 18th on lap 102 but then on lap 103 he was damaged in a wreck. Dillon was able to continue and was in 19th on lap 255 but then on lap 257 he was involved in his second wreck, leading to his 29th. For the afternoon his average running position was 26.6. Last summer, Dillon finished 20th and had a 19.7 average running position. I’ll note, Dillon was damaged in both the lap 57 and 69 “Big One’s”, but he was able to continue logging laps. In spring 2025, Dillon had his best EchoPark race and finished 16th. That said, there was nothing special about his afternoon with Dillon having a 24.5 average running position and ranking 26th in terms of Driver Rating. If anything, Dillon benefitted from the attrition. Over the four races prior to that, Dillon had results of 20th, 22nd, 21st and 20th.
