Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Gateway 2025

This chart was created by BetCrushers.com

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson finished 12th last year at Gateway, which is a respectable finish, but I’ll note that also underrates him since he looked like a top five contender, but his afternoon wasn’t incident free. In the race, Larson started 2nd, led 52 laps, finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 4th in Stage #2 but then in the last Stage around lap 160 during a caution while running in 2nd, Larson pitted twice after some part of his rear diffuser was broken which dropped him back to 34th, forcing him to drive up thru the field late. In terms of speed stats, Larson ranked 3rd for Total Speed Rankings and 6th for Speed Late In A Run.

Josh Berry – Josh Berry had a short afternoon last year at Gateway and finished 36th but from what we did see from him, you could easily argue he looked at least mid-teens good. In the race, Berry started 12th, was in 15th on lap 36th but then he wrecked (Contact from the #9), marking the end of his race. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Berry ranked 12th.

Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman looked solid last year at Gateway but walked away with a misleading 26th. In the race, Bowman logged some laps in the top ten in Stage #2, was in 7th on lap 133 but then shortly after that he had a super slow pit stop that dropped him back to 27th. Bowman did rebound and was up to 11th on lap 190 but then shortly after that on lap 206 during green flag pit stops, he was caught speeding on pit road which doomed him to his poor result. In terms of speed stats, Bowman ranked 15th for Speed Late In A Run and then 17th for Total Speed Rankings.

Daniel Suarez – Last year at Gateway, Daniel Suarez had a rough afternoon and finished 35th but you can of course get out an asterisk mark. On lap 61 while running in ~15th, he got into the wall after contact which marked the end of his afternoon. Over the first segment in terms of speed, Suarez ranked 21st.
