Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Kansas #1 2026
Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell was a contender to win this spring at Kansas, but he finished an asterisk mark 20th. In the race, Bell finished 5th in Stage #1, finished 5th in Stage #2, had a 6.2 average running position, led 47 laps, had command of the lead for much of the final Stage, was in 4th to begin overtime but then on the last lap he was spun, leading to his 20th.
Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar finished 13th this spring but I’ll note that result underrates him. In the race, Hocevar had 3 super slow pit stops and before his last in overtime, Hocevar was running in 7th, but his final slow pit stop dropped him back to 16th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Hocevar ranked 5th.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney finished 24th this spring at Kansas but you can get out an asterisk mark for that result. In the race, Blaney started 9th and then during the opening green flag pit cycle while running in 8th, he spun Allmendinger on pit road which damaged the #12 and he was just junk after that. If his race would’ve been incident free, I think Blaney was poised to be a top ten contender.
Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe finished 3rd this spring at Kansas but I’ll note he wasn’t that good. Before overtime came out, Briscoe was actually back in 13th, so late wildness was a major boost. Additionally, Briscoe had an 8.6 average running position and ranked 12th for Speed.
