Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Las Vegas #1 2026

Chase Briscoe – Chase Briscoe finished 8th this spring at Las Vegas but I would argue that’s an asterisk mark result. “Performance Wise”, Briscoe was likely top five good/ factor to win but his afternoon wasn’t incident free. In the race, Briscoe started 18th, was up to 13th on lap 30 but then in the lap 30’s during the opening green flag pit stop, he was caught speeding on pit road. That put him behind for almost the entire afternoon but once he got back on the lead lap in the last Stage, he drove up thru the field with relative ease to finish 8th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, he ranked 10th with his speed over the segments being 11th, 17th, 3rd and 8th.

Ryan Blaney – This spring at Las Vegas, Ryan Blaney was top ten good but finished an asterisk mark 16th. In the race, Blaney finished 9th in Stage #1, finished about 11th in Stage #2 but then on lap 210 during the final green flag pit cycle he came in from 8th, overshot his pit box and then just after his slow pit stop a caution came out which was a bad break for him, dropping him back to about 20th. Additionally, Blaney had an 11.4 average running position, the 12th best Driver Rating and ranked 12th for Total Speed Rankings. In terms of speed over the segments, he ranked 10th, 9th, 6th and then 18th.

Carson Hocevar – Carson Hocevar finished 22nd this spring at Las Vegas but I’ll note “Performance Wise” he looked teen’s good, but his afternoon wasn’t incident free. In the race, Hocevar finished 13th in Stage #1, was in 15th on lap 150 but then on lap 162 while running in the mid-teens, he had a flat tire and made an unexpected pit stop, dropping him off the lead lap into the 20’s.

Austin Cindric – This spring, Austin Cindric finished 19th but I’ll note that result slightly underrates him. In the race, Cindric started 31st, finished 10th in Stage #2, was in 14th on lap 210 but then during a pit cycle right after that, he was one of the first drivers to come to pit road and was then burned by a caution during the pit cycle which dropped him back to about 19th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Cindric ranked 14th.
