Talladega Fantasy NASCAR Top Tier Elite Picks
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski will be a favorite to win at Talladega. He’s been an elite performer here throughout his career and right now he has back to back wins at plate tracks. In his career at Talladega he has 4 wins, has finished in the top five 40% percent of the time and in the top ten 60% percent of the time. This spring he had a great car and raced his way to victory lane. In addition to finishing first he earned the best driver rating, led the most laps (46) and had a 5th place average running position. Last fall he had a strong showing and finished 4th. In the race his car was very fast and at the end when it was time for drivers to show their hand, it was clear he had one of the best cars. Also in the race it should be noted he earned the 3rd best driver rating. In spring 2015 he had a pretty good car that had top ten speed but finished 22nd. Near the end of that race he decided to get out of line and that sent him back in the pack. In fall 2014 he had one of the top clutch moments of the season and raced his way to victory lane advancing to the next round of the Chase. In the event he started 5th, earned the best driver rating, had a 10th place average running position and led 12 laps. At Daytona in July Keselowski won in dominate fashion leading 115 laps. On Sunday look for Brad Keselowski to race very hard because of Chase implications. (Yahoo A Driver)

Kyle Busch – Nobody has been better than Kyle Busch at plate tracks this year. He’s scored the most points, has finished in the top five every race and is one of just two drivers who have finished in the top ten every race. His average finish for the season on this track type is 2.3. At Talladega Kyle Busch has been a very strong. Since 2012 minus the two races he wrecked he has a 5.8 average result and has finished in the top 12 every race. This spring he had a great car finishing runner-up, earning the 2nd best driver rating and leading 12 laps. Last fall he had a pretty good race and ran much of the event in the top 13. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 11th, had a 12th place average running position and earned the 9th best driver rating. In spring 2015 he missed the race due to injury. In fall 2014 he was collected in a wreck and finished 40th. In the two Talladega races prior to that he finished 5th and 12th. At Daytona this season Busch had results of 2nd and 3rd. Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon is a very solid fantasy NASCAR option at restrictor plate tracks. This year at plate tracks he ranks as one of the best. For the season on this track type he’s scored the 3rd most points, has the second best average finish (6.3), and is one of just two drivers who are 3 for 3 in terms of finishing in the top ten. At Talladega he’s been a safe fantasy NASCAR option having only twice finished outside the top fifteen. In one of his results outside the top fifteen he had an engine failure, in his other he was wrecked while running in 2nd. This spring Dillon had his best Talladega result and finished 3rd. Last fall Dillon didn’t have a great race. He got a pit stop penalty during the first round of stops and the lack of cautions really hurt him. Fortunately for him there were late cautions. If the final caution didn’t come out he was doomed to finish around 26th. Since it did occur and he dodged the carnage he finished 14th. In spring 2015 while he was running in the mid-teens with 31 laps to go his engine blew up which led to his 35th place finish. In his next two most recent Talladega races he had results of 13th and 15th. At Daytona this year Dillon finished 7th and 9th. Over his last six races there his average finish is 8.5.
