Daytona Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings

Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney is an aggressive plate racer who isn’t a bad option. He’s had some really good races on this track type in the past. In this years Daytona 500 he had his best race on this track type and the number you need to know about him is 2. He finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best driver rating and led 2 laps. Last summer at Daytona he was a top ten contender but he got some damage in a late wreck which was a set back. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 14th and earned the 14th best driver rating. In the 2016 Daytona 500 he finished 19th but he ran better than his result. In the race he started 7th, earned the 10th best driver rating and had a 13th place average running position.(Yahoo B Driver)

Trevor Bayne – In the 2011 Daytona 500 Trevor Bayne raced his way to victory lane in one of the most improbable outcomes in NASCAR history. Following that win he had tons of bad results in a row. Some good news is that he’s been doing pretty well here recently. In 3 of the last 4 Daytona races he’s finished in the top ten. In this years Daytona 500 he escaped the carnage and came home with a 10th place finish. Last summer at Daytona Bayne had a good race. He finished 3rd and earned the 3rd best driver rating. In the 2016 Daytona 500 he was involved in an accident and finished 28th. In summer 2015 he had a quality race having earned the 8th best driver rating and finishing 9th. (Yahoo B Driver)

Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon is a very strong plate racer and Daytona ranks as one of his best tracks. Since he’s been a full-time driver in the #3 he has a 10.5 average result and has finished in the top ten in 5 of the 7 races. In this years Daytona 500 he had his worst result since being a full-time driver and finished 19th. In the race I believe he got some minor damage in one of the “Big One’s” that hampered his level of competitiveness. Last summer Dillon had a strong showing. He finished 7th and earned the 7th best driver rating. In the 2016 Daytona 500 he struggled early, but when his car was tuned to his liking in the second half of the race he ran well and brought it home to a 9th place finish. In summer 2015 Dillon crossed the finish line with half a car in 7th. Additionally in that race he earned the 6th best driver rating and had an 11th place average running position. (Yahoo B Driver)
