98 17 #1 Josh Wise headed to pit road after a cloud of smoke erupted from his car, leaving a trail of fluid on the track and down pit road, resulting in the day’s first caution flag.
45 #2 Caution flag flew for debris in Turn 3.
42 97 Running just inside the Top 20, Kyle Larson was penalized for speeding on pit road during a green flag pit stop. He was forced to serve a pass-through penalty, putting him one lap down, in 34th position.
2 123 Brad Keselowski suffered slight damage to his right rear after getting loose and tapping the wall. He dropped from 3rd to 6th as a result.
17 143 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was penalized for going too fast on pit road. He was black-flagged before serving his pass-through penalty. He ended up back in 30th place as a result, two laps off the pace.
155 #3 Caution flag flew for debris.
4 194 After running in the Top 5 for much of the day, Kevin Harvick came to pit road under green, reporting a brake or rotor issue. After some time in the pits, he went to the garage, before being confirmed as out of the race. Harvick finished 41st.
221 #4 Caution flag for debris on the front straightaway.
15 234 After fighting his way into the Top 10, Clint Bowyer hit the wall and lost a tire, forcing him to make a green-flag stop. He ended up finishing 23rd.
88 267 Dale Earnhardt Jr. ran out of fuel with about a half lap to go, surrendering the win to Brad Keselowski, but he still finished in the Top 2 for the third week in a row to start the season.
