Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #6 Notes

Jimmie Johnson – Practiced in his backup car. Eight minutes into practice he said, “She drives really good.” He said he had a slight vibration in his shifter. “Thank you guys. Nice work getting her up and running!”

Matt Kenseth – His backup car hasn’t ever been raced. His team spent the session working on his backup car.

Clint Bowyer – Focused on single file runs. Looking for speed.

Ryan Newman – Opted not to practice in either session on Friday. His team spent today working on his car making sure it was completely right.

Kurt Busch – Won’t practice today. His team spent Friday making major repairs to his primary car. His team feels that his primary car is that good.
