Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #7 Notes

Joe Gibbs Racing – Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin and affiliate teammate Martin Truex Jr. practiced together. Matt Kenseth joined them later. They rotated leading the pack.

Richard Petty Motorsports – Towards the end of practice Aric Almirola and Brian Scott drafted together.

Joey Logano – Focused on leak and vibration tests. Put in his Daytona 500 engine. Ran in a three-car pack.

AJ Allmendinger – His backup chassis is nearly identical to his primary chassis. Focused on single file runs. Stayed away from traffic. Said he doesn’t have any more race cars left.

Brad Keselowski – Focused on leak and vibration tests. Put in his Daytona 500 engine.
