Top 10 Plate Track Fantasy NASCAR Options For 2017
10. Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon will be one of the top plate track fantasy NASCAR options in 2017. He likely won’t compete for wins, but he’s proven himself to be one of the safer fantasy options. Since 2014 at plate tracks he’s only once finished outside the top 15 and that was due to an engine failure. Over that stretch minus his engine failure (11 total races) he has a 9.5 average finish. Last year at plate tracks Austin Dillon scored the most points and was the only driver who finished in the top ten every race. Between the two plate tracks he’s been better at Daytona. He has three straight top tens there and in 5 of the last 6 races he’s finished between 5th and 9th.

9. Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer is a really good plate racer who shouldn’t be overlooked. Even in his dismal situation in 2016 he still managed to finish in the top ten 50% percent of the time on this track type. In the three prior seasons at plate tracks he scored the 7th, 8th and 4th most points. Now that he’ll be returning to a competitive situation look for him to have a strong season. At both plate tracks Bowyer has proven himself to be a good option. In 4 of the last 5 Daytona races he’s finished in the top ten. In 5 of the last 7 Talladega races he’s finished in the top ten.

8. Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch is the best restrictor plate racer who’s never been to victory lane. Last year on this track type he scored the 5th most points, if he wasn’t wrecked on the last lap of Daytona #2 while running in the top 3 he would’ve been a perfect 4 for 4 in terms of finishing in the top ten and likely would’ve been the top points accumulator for the season. In his three incident free races his average finish was 7.3. Over the last five Daytona races Busch has the 3rd best driver rating, over the last five Talladega races he has the 5th best driver rating.
