Daytona Fantasy NASCAR Top Tier Elite Picks
Joey Logano – Joey Logano should be on your short list of favorites to win at Daytona. He’s a recent champion who’s been one of the most successful restrictor plate drivers over the last couple of seasons. In recent Daytona races he’s been very successful. In 4 of the last 5 races he’s finished in the top 6. Earlier this year at Daytona he had a great car. He won the Shootout and in the Daytona 500 he was very strong. When the checkered flag waved in the “Great American Race” he finished 6th, earned the 6th best driver rating and led 16 laps. At the end he had a very fast car but nobody would help him. Last year at Daytona he was one of four drivers who swept the top ten. Last summer he had a great car and was a consistent front runner (6.0 avg. running position). He earned the 2nd best driver rating and finished 4th. In the 2016 Daytona 500 Logano was up front when it mattered. In the race he finished 6th and earned the 7th best driver rating. In summer 2015 he started near the back and was collected in a wreck on lap 3 that led to his 22nd place finish. In the 2015 Daytona 500 Logano was impressive and raced his way to victory lane. In addition to finishing first he also earned the best driver rating, had a 5th place average running position and led 31 laps. (Yahoo A Driver)

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch will be a factor at Daytona. He’s a strong performer on this track type and he’s been very good over the last couple of races here. In this years Daytona 500 Busch might’ve had one of the strongest cars but with his 38th place finish would never you tell you that. In the race Kyle Busch was leading the pack until he had a sudden flat tire that led to him careening into the wall. In the race Kyle Busch led 18 laps and was the stage #1 winner. Last year Busch was very successful at Daytona. Between the combined races he scored the most points, had the best driver rating, best average running position and was the only driver who finished in the top five both events. Last summer at Daytona he had a great car and was a consistent front runner. In the race he finished 2nd, earned the 3rd best driver rating, had a 6th place average running position and led 16 laps. In last year’s Daytona 500 he earned the 2nd best driver rating, finished 3rd, had a 4th place average running position and led 19 laps. In that race Joe Gibbs cars were the class of the field and it’s clear they had a handling advantage. At Talladega this spring Busch finished 3rd. (Yahoo A Driver)

Kevin Harvick – Kevin Harvick will be a favorite at Daytona. He’s an elite drafting talent and he knows how to maneuver his way to the front when it matters. At Daytona he’s a two-time winner who’s finished in the top fourteen 63% percent of the time. In this years Daytona 500 he had a great car that I would argue was the best. In the event he led a race high 50 laps, earned the 5th best driver rating and finished 22nd after getting damage in a wreck. Last summer at Daytona he never really got a chance to show his hand because he was a victim in the lap 90 “Big One” (finished 39th). In the three Daytona races prior to that he finished in the top 4. In the 2016 Daytona 500 he had a great race and he’s the driver who pushed Denny Hamlin to the win. When the checkered flag waved he finished 4th and earned the 5th best driver rating. In summer 2015 he finished 4th and earned the 5th best driver rating. In the 2015 Daytona 500 he had a strong showing. He finished 2nd, earned the 3rd best driver rating and had an 8th place average running position. (Yahoo A Driver)
