Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions – The Clash

Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher might be a hidden gem at the Coliseum, and I probably should really have him in my Clash Front Runner Rankings post. At Martinsville (thought of as a “Bigger Coliseum”), Buescher’s been extremely solid and in 4 of the last 5 races he’s finished between 9th to 13th. In the one race he didn’t, Buescher crashed. In 2021 at “The Paper Clip”, Buescher finished 9th in the fall and 13th in the spring. With a new car, a new boss and a new teammate who’s interested in his success, Buescher is poised to have a great 2022. Don’t overlook him!

Harrison Burton – Harrison Burton will be making his #21 debut in the Clash. I think this will be a tough race for a rookie who likely won’t be respected on the track, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes the “Main Event.” In the lower series at Martinsville, Burton’s had success there, but he’s also finished worse in each new start. In fall 2020 in the Xfinity Series, Burton led 81 laps and raced his way to victory lane. In spring 2021, Burton led 52 laps and finished 7th. In fall 2021, Burton finished 2nd in Stage #2 but then shortly after lap 200 while he was in 6th, he was caught up in a caution that led to his misleading 20th.
