Around lap 35, the opening green flag pit cycle started. It was an extended green flag pit cycle.

When Larson came to pit road, Ty Gibbs got the lead and then led 5 laps. When he finally came in, Ty Gibbs had a slow pit stop.

On lap 41, Chase Elliott who still needed to pit, inherited the lead and then led the next 12 laps.

Big: On lap 50, Jimmie Johnson who was running back in the 30’s spun which brought out the first caution. Drivers who had yet to pit during the extended green flag pit cycle were Chase Elliott, Todd Gilliland, Austin Hill, and Daniel Hemric.

Big: On lap 101, Christopher Bell’s #20 backed into the wall. In a chain reaction behind him, Bowman and Nemechek crashed into each other. Bell was in 10th, Bowman and Nemechek were back around 20th.

During the Bell caution, Kyle Larson won the race off pit road.

Big: During the Bell caution, Chris Buescher who was running in the top 10 got an equipment interference penalty which had him restarting in the back.

Notable: During the restart following the Bell caution. Bubba Wallace who was running in 11th got out of the groove and dropped back some, also impacting Ty Gibbs who was in the mid-teens. It dropped both of them back to the high 20’s.

Big: On lap 114, Hocevar who was running in 23rd spun which brought out a caution. He didn’t hit anything.

Big: On lap 117 while leading under caution, Kyle Larson lost a tire. This was a 2-lap penalty.
