Erik Jones
Pocono Fantasy Outlook – Erik Jones has been great at Pocono and if you’re looking for a mid-tier driver, make sure he’s high on your radar. In the Next Gen at Pocono, Jones is 4 for 4 at finishing between 9th to 14th, has the 5th best average finish (11.3), ranks 8th for Driver Rating and 13th for Next Gen Speed Rankings. For his career, Jones has a 13.5 average finish and overall his top 14 finish rate is 71.4%. Over the last two, Jones has had results of 13th and 14th. On Sunday, look for Jones to be a top ten contender.
Pocono Track History – Erik Jones has been stellar at Pocono and in the Next Gen, he’s finished in the top 14 every race and has an 11.3 average finish. Last year, Jones was solid throughout. In the race, Jones finished 13th, had a 13.8 average running position and ranked 13th for Total Speed Rankings. In 2024 when the #43 was struggling, Jones still managed to finish 14th which is quite a testament to how good he is here. Additionally, Jones had the 13th best Driver Rating and the 14th best Total Speed Ranking. In the two races prior to that, Jones had back-to-back 9th’s. In 2023 en route to his 9th, Jones had a solid afternoon. In the race, Jones started 24th, had a 16.2 average running position, earned the 12th best Driver Rating and then of course finished 9th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Jones ranked 18th but take note over the last quarter of the race, he was at his best and ranked as the 10th fastest. In 2022, Jones finished 5th in Stage #1, finished 3rd in Stage #2, led 11 laps, had an 11.1 average running position and then finished 9th when the checkered flag waved.

Joey Logano
Pocono Fantasy Outlook – Joey Logano should be on your fantasy NASCAR radar for Pocono. Logano’s a former winner, he’s run well in recent races and Penske cars always show up with big horsepower. The #22 team also isn’t afraid to get aggressive with pit strategy, and Logano’s a master at saving fuel if needed. At Pocono in 6 of the last 12 races, Logano’s finished between 5th to 13th and if he can avoid trouble, I think he has a good chance to once again finish within that range.
Pocono Track History – Joey Logano has been pretty solid at Pocono and “Performance Wise” in 2 of the last 3, he’s been a top five contender. In the Next Gen over the combined races, Logano ranks 14th for Driver Rating, 15th for Speed and has a 13.6 average finish minus 2023 where he looked like a top five contender but crashed. Last year, Logano was a low double-digit to mid-teens performer. In the race, Logano finished 16th, had a 12.7 average running position, earned the 14th best Driver Rating and ranked 8th in terms of Total Speed Rankings. To further look at his speed over the segments though, Logano ranked 11th, 3rd, 14th and then 18th so he wasn’t at his best late. I’ll also note, I think he’s a driver who was burned by a caution during the final green flag pit cycle, but I think that only burned him a little bit. In 2024, Logano started 10th, finished 7th in Stage #1, finished 9th in Stage #2, had a 9.2 average running position, the 10th best Total Speed Ranking and then finished 5th when the checkered flag waved. To close out, the #22 was at its best with Logano ranking 5th for speed over the final quarter of the race. In 2023, the #22 was fast but so was his afternoon. In the race, Logano started 6th, led 21 laps, won Stage #1 but then during the restart for Stage #2 while running in 16th, Logano crashed, leading to his 35th. In 2022, Logano just for whatever reason was junk. In the race, Logano finished 20th, had a 21.2 average running position and ranked 26th for Total Speed Rankings. In 2021 during the doubles, Logano had results of 7th and 10th.

Daniel Suarez
Pocono Fantasy Outlook – Daniel Suarez and the #7 have been clicking off good results over the last few months and at Pocono, I think there’s a good chance that the good times will continue. At Pocono in the Next Gen, Suarez ranks 16th for Speed, 17th for Driver Rating and in the results column minus 2023 where he had a misleading result his average finish is 11.3. Over the last two, Suarez has finished in the mid-teens. Heading into the weekend, I would view him as a mid-teens driver who’ll have upside.
Pocono Track History – At Pocono, Daniel Suarez has had some success. His career average finish is 16.6 and over his 14 starts he’s finished in the top ten 28.7% of the time and in the top 16, 64.3% of the time. Over the last two races, Suarez has a 15.5 average finish. Last year, Suarez had a 16.1 average running position, earned the 16th best Driver Rating and then finished 15th overall. In terms of speed stats, Suarez ranked 14th for Speed Late In A Run and had the 19th best Total Speed Ranking. In 2024, Suarez finished 16th, had an 18.9 average running position and ranked 20th in terms of Total Speed Rankings. In 2023, Suarez finished 36th but that’s of course an asterisk mark result. In the race, Suarez started 17th, finished about 24th in Stage #1 but then early in Stage #2 on lap 36, Suarez crashed in a restart wreck which marked the end of his race. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Suarez ranked 20th. In 2022, Suarez finished 3rd in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2, had the 7th best Total Speed Ranking and then finished 3rd when the checkered flag waved. In 2021, Suarez finished in the teens both races and had results of 13th and 15th.
