Christopher Bell
Iowa Fantasy Outlook – Christopher Bell is the premiere shorter-flat track performer in NASCAR and in the Iowa Corn 350, the road to victory lane likely goes thru him. Bell had a strong showing last summer en route to a 4th; despite starting in the rear of the field and there’s nobody better than him at shorter-flat tracks right now. Since 2024 on this track type, Bell has the best Track Type Total Speed Ranking and over the last four races, Bell has ranked #1 in three of the races and then in the other, he ranked 2nd. Also over the combined races on this track type since 2024, Bell has the best average finish (3.9), the best average running position (6.2), the best Driver Rating and he’s averaged leading the most laps per race (83.1). This spring at Phoenix to begin the season on this track type, Bell finished 1st, led 105 laps and had the best Total Speed Ranking.
Iowa Track History – Last summer at Iowa, Christopher Bell started in the rear of the field in a backup car, but this shorter-flat track master made the most of his afternoon. In the race, Bell finished 4th, had a 13.4 average running position, led 7 laps (pit strategy) and earned the 6th best Driver Rating. In terms of speed analytics, Bell had the fastest car late in a run and his Total Speed Ranking ranked 9th. Over the 4th segment when the trophy was on the line, Bell had the 4th fastest car on the track.

Kyle Larson
Iowa Fantasy Outlook – Look for Kyle Larson to be a contender at Iowa. Larson might’ve just been the best last year at Iowa but his afternoon wasn’t incident free, so that might have him a little under the radar courtesy of his ugly 34th. When it comes to racing at shorter-flat tracks, Larson ranks among the best and since 2024 on this sub-track type minus Iowa, Larson has a 6.4 average finish and ranks 7th in terms of track Type Total Speed Rankings.
Iowa Track History – Last summer at Iowa, the #5 was a hot rod and Larson might’ve just been the best, but his race wasn’t incident free. In the race, Larson started on the pole, led 80 laps, finished 2nd in Stage #1, won Stage #2 but then to begin the last Stage, Larson crashed shortly after a restart while running around 5th, and you could then stick a fork in him leading to his 34th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Larson ranked 6th but take note his speed over the segments were 1st, 2nd, 3rd and then 34th.

Ryan Blaney
Iowa Fantasy Outlook – Defending Iowa winner, Ryan Blaney will be tough to beat as he vies for a repeat in the Iowa Corn 350. Blaney put on a display of domination last summer en route to victory lane and he ranks among the premiere performers at shorter-flat tracks. Since 2024 on this track type, Blaney has the 2nd best Track Type Total Speed Ranking and in 4 of the last 5 races, he’s ranked in the top 3 for speed. On Sunday, look for Blaney to be a top five performer who’ll be a factor to win.
Iowa Track History – Last summer at Iowa, Ryan Blaney smoked the field, easily racing his way to victory lane at his “quasi” home track. In the race, Blaney won Stage #1, finished 4th in Stage #2, had a race best 2.6 average running position, led the most laps (201) and earned the best Driver Rating by a wide margin. In terms of speed analytics, Blaney had the best Total Speed Ranking and ranked 4th for Speed Late In A Run.
