Austin Cindric
New Hampshire Fantasy Outlook – Austin Cindric doesn’t have a great track record on paper at New Hampshire, but I think he’ll be a low double-digit driver who’ll have a great chance to finish in the top ten. This year at shorter-flat tracks, Cindric ranks 8th for Speed, he’s fresh off a 3rd at Richmond and his average finish minus Phoenix is 15.3. In the Next Gen at New Hampshire, Cindric has an 18.5 average finish and then ranks 22nd for both Next Gen Speed Rankings and Driver Rating.
New Hampshire History – Austin Cindric hasn’t done much at New Hampshire. His best result was in his first race (13th), he’s finished in the high-teens over the last two and his average finish is 18.5. Last year, Cindric started 22nd, finished about 17th in Stage #1, was in 20th on lap 108 but was then damaged in the lap 118 “Big One.” Then during the Stage #2 caution, he took two tires which jumped him up to 2nd but from that point on, he just slowly faded back to finish 17th. Additionally, Cindric had a 17.6 average running position and ranked 19th for Total Speed Rankings. In 2024, Cindric didn’t have a great performance, and his afternoon wasn’t incident free. In the race, Cindric started 29th, finished about 19th in Stage #2, had a 21.9 average running position and then finished 19th overall. In the final Stage on lap 263 while running around 20th, Cindric was involved in a multi-car crash but since he finished 19th, you can’t say it impacted him too much. In 2023, Cindric finished 25th and had a 25th place average running position. In 2022, Cindric finished 13th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Cindric ranked 12th.

Ross Chastain
New Hampshire Fantasy Outlook – Ross Chastain will have dark horse upside at New Hampshire. He’s run well and in the Next Gen, he’s 3 for 4 at finishing in the top ten and over the combined races he ranks 7th for average finish (12.5), 12th for Driver Rating and then 13th for Speed. I’ll also note over his three top tens, he’s 3 for 3 at finishing between 8th to 10th. Over the last two shorter-flat tracks visited, Chastain has a 7.5 average finish and a 9.5 average Speed Ranking. On Sunday, I would view him as a teens driver who’ll have top ten upside.
New Hampshire History – Ross Chastain has run pretty well at New Hampshire and over the last five races, Chastain has four top tens, he’s been a top ten performer every race and has an 11.6 average finish. Last year, Chastain had an 11.5 average running position, earned the 12th best Driver Rating and then finished 9th overall. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Chastain ranked 12th. In 2024, Chastain finished 10th, had a 13.2 average running position and had the 14th best Total Speed Ranking. At the conclusion of Stage #2 which is a great reference point for performance, Chastain finished 10th. In 2023, Chastain finished 23rd but you can get out an asterisk mark for that result. Late in the race on lap 286 while running in 12th shortly after a restart, Chastain slid up the track and that quickly had him dropping back to 18th. It wasn’t a pretty race for Chastain by any measure with him starting 31st and having a 21.3 average running position, but he was in 10th as late as lap 276. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Chastain ranked 26th. In the two races prior to that, Chastain had back-to-back 8th’s.

Shane van Gisbergen
New Hampshire Fantasy Outlook – Shane van Gisbergen has shown upside at shorter-flat tracks in 2026 and he looked good last year at New Hampshire, so he’ll be a roll of the dice option with a good amount of upside for the risk takers. This year at shorter-flat tracks, SVG ranks 18th for Speed, is 3 for 4 at finishing in the top 14 and his average finish is 15.0.
New Hampshire History – Last year at New Hampshire in his only Cup start here, SVG was racy and you can disregard his 32nd. In the race, SVG started 10th, finished 7th in Stage #1, was running in 7th on lap 108 but then on lap 118, he was damaged when Keselowski did a really dumb move during a restart which sent him to the garage, dooming him to his poor result. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, SVG ranked 15th but take note his speed over the segments were 5th, 6th, 22nd and then 25th.
