Martinsville Xfinity 500 Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings

Austin Cindric
Martinsville Fantasy Outlook – Austin Cindric should be solid at Martinsville. His Martinsville track record is in “Roll of the dice territory”, but he ran great this spring (8th), and that’s ultimately the most important race. Overall in the Next Gen, Cindric has five results in the top 15 but four results of 23rd or worse. In terms of Next Gen RPM stats, Cindric ranks 16th for Speed, 16th for average finish (18.4) and then 17th for Driver Rating. Heading into the weekend, I would conservatively view him as a teens driver who’ll have a good shot to finish in the top ten.
Martinsville History – Austin Cindric is more than capable of running well at Martinsville. This spring, Cindric was strong and consistently ran around the top 5. In the race, Cindric started 6th, finished 5th in Stage #1, finished 6th in Stage #2, had a 5.9 average running position (5th best) and then finished 8th overall. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Cindric ranked 7th. Last fall, Cindric was solid and finished 15th. In the race, Cindric started 10th, finished 10th in Stage #1, finished 17th in Stage #2, and then finished 15th when the checkered flag waved. Additionally, Cindric had a 10.1 average running position and ranked 11th in terms of Total Speed Rankings. I would say some late cautions hurt him, and with 20 to go, he was running in 11th. Last spring, Cindric had an ugly afternoon and finished 37th. The #2 team had major battery issues, and his DNF is actually attributed to them running out of batteries! In the race, Cindric started 20th, finished about 15th in Stage #1, but then his electrical problems started during the Stage #1 caution, with him pitting twice, and you could then stick a fork in him. In fall 2024, Cindric was strong and finished 4th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Cindric ranked 12th and was at his best late, ranking 5th in terms of 4th segment speed. In spring 2024, Cindric was mediocre and finished one lap down in 23rd. In the race, Cindric started 14th, had a 15.6 average running position, led 6 laps via pit strategy, and ranked 17th in terms of Total Speed Rankings. I’ll also note, Cindric was in 17th on lap 396, which was one lap before the overtime caution came out. Over the four races prior to that, Cindric had results of 9th, 33rd, 26th, and then 11th.
Bubba Wallace
Martinsville Fantasy Outlook – At Martinsville, look for Bubba Wallace to have a solid showing and potentially be a top ten performer. Martinsville has been a great track for Wallace, and in the Next Gen, Wallace has the 11th best average finish (13.7), the 12th best Driver Rating and ranks 13th for Speed. In terms of the Next Gen results column, Wallace has finished in the top 11 in 5 of the last 8 races.
Martinsville History – Martinsville has been a great track for Bubba Wallace, but he has been a little bit of a hero or zero in recent races and over the last five, Wallace has two top 5’s but his other three results are 18th or worse. This spring, Wallace was a mid to high-teens driver but in the last Stage, he decided to spin out Hocevar which actually ended up destroying the #23, leading to his DNF 36th. On lap 322 just before his demise, Wallace was in 17th. In terms of Total Speed Rankings, Wallace ranked 21st. Last fall, Wallace was mid-pack and finished 18th, which represents his performance. Additionally, Wallace had a 20.5 average running position and ranked 21st in terms of Total Speed Rankings. Last spring, Wallace had a rocket. In the race, Wallace started 8th, finished 3rd in Stage #2, had the 3rd best average running position (4.5), earned the 3rd best Driver Rating, and then finished 3rd overall. In terms of speed stats, Wallace ranked 3rd for Total Speed Rankings and 3rd for Speed Late In A Run. In fall 2024, Wallace once again had a race to forget. In the race, Wallace finished 18th, had a 19.1 average running position, and his Total Speed Ranking ranked 22nd. In spring 2024, Wallace was a standout performer. In the race, Wallace started 2nd, finished 2nd in Stage #1, finished 2nd in Stage #2, had a 3.8 average running position, earned the 4th best Driver Rating, and then finished 4th overall. In terms of speed stats, Wallace ranked 3rd for Speed Late In A Run and then 6th for Total Speed Rankings. Over the three races prior to that, Wallace had results of 11th, 9th and 8th.
Tyler Reddick
Martinsville Fantasy Outlook – Martinsville has historically been Tyler Reddick’s worst Cup track, but perhaps he’s turning the corner and is finally figuring out the Paper Clip. In 4 of the last 5 races, he’s finished between 7th and 14th, which is great by his Martinsville standards. That said, there are of course better, safer options out there. Overall, in the Next Gen at Martinsville, Reddick ranks 17th in terms of Total Speed Rankings and has a 20.2 average finish.
Martinsville History – Martinsville has not been a good track for Tyler Reddick, but he’s finished between 7th to 14th in 4 of the last 5 races. This spring, Reddick looked respectable but for his tier of driver, it wasn’t great. In the race, Reddick finished 9th in Stage #1, finished 7th in Stage #2, had an 11.5 average running position and then finished 15th overall. In terms of speed stats, Reddick ranked 13th for both Total Speed Rankings and Speed Late In A Run. Last fall, Reddick finished 9th in Stage #2, had a 13.4 average running position, had the 15th best Total Speed Ranking, and then finished 11th overall. To highlight his speed a little more, Reddick ranked 11th and 11th over the last two segments of the race. Last spring, Reddick finished 10th in Stage #2, had a 12.4 average running position, and then finished 14th. In terms of speed stats, Reddick ranked 10th in terms of Total Speed Rankings and was the 7th fastest driver late in a run. In fall 2024, it looked like the #45 team mailed in the weekend because they were bad. Also, Reddick’s race wasn’t incident-free. In the race, Reddick started 31st, was in 33rd on lap 60, but then shortly after that, an extended green flag pit cycle started, and Reddick was one of the first drivers to come to pit road. Shortly after that during the green flag pit cycle, a caution came out, and Reddick was doomed from that point on and never bounced back. Then later in the race on lap 465 while running in the 30’s, Reddick went to the garage and said he had no brakes, leading to his 34th. In spring 2024, Reddick had his all-time best Martinsville result. In the race, Reddick finished 7th, but with four laps to go before the late caution came out, Reddick was running in 11th. In the race, Reddick had the 10th best Total Speed Ranking and a 13.3 average running position.
